Law does not equal morality. Laws are literally made up. It was illegal to protect Jews in Germany during ww2. Thankfully, people think outside of the law sometimes.

Me: I used escapist fantasies as a coping mechanism to get through years of trauma and therefore never learned how to plan for a real life future
Alternatively: I went through periods of depression so frequent and intense that I never considered that I’d actually make it to my 20s so now I’m kinda just making it up as I go
The communication director for the campaign I worked recently told me 5 year plans are bullshit. Shoot for a 3 year plan. It’s much easier and realistic. In 2 years you could get a degree(A.A., A.S., finish up an undergrad degree you’re working on already) and it’s one political cycle. 5 years is a whole 4 year degree/a presidential election. People who ask for a 5 year don’t really know what they’re talking about. So much could happen and there is no way to estimate how different you’re life could be be. That’s 2023. A 3year/2 year plan? 2021/2020. Much easier to visualize.
