someone just started blasting the indiana jones theme music on this train and i can’t tell who it is

but bless them

Apparently if you play the Indiana Jones theme music at an archaeological dig like half the people reach for their phones

#the other half reach for their phones if you play the jurassic park theme

There are only two genders: Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones

I’d like to advocate for a third: one of the girls on my dig site two weeks ago has The Lion King on her phone. So the peaceful sound of trowels scraping dirt was suddenly interrupted by

NAAAAAAAATNS INGONYAMA BAGITHI BABAAAAA

*Clears throat*

May I present a fourth (My own ringtone)

so, we have here:
Gryffindor – Indiana Jones Theme
Slytherin – Jurassic Park Theme
Hufflepuff – Lion King Theme
Ravenclaw – Holes Theme

Hello, shapeshifters! Let’s talk about a Shapeshifters original: The Binding Dress.

Anonymous asked: I was wondering how much a custom fabric circle skirt binding dress would cost, approximately? Is it available? And would we be able to get a layer of lace over that? Could I have an estimated total cost?

Thanks for asking! We recently added custom fabric options for dresses: for a Spandex House circle skirt dress, $140; for Spoonflower, $210. There is also a lace overlay now included in Dress Add-Ons, for $40!

Anonymous asked: Hi hi! I am in LOVE with your binder dresses & want them to be pretty much ALL of my wardrobe; I just have a few questions before I order: 1) do you offer cosplay binder dresses? 2) can I order binder dresses in fabric (from spoonflower) other than what you have in stock? Thanks so much for such an amazing product & company!!!! 🙂

1) We totally could! As with all cosplay / applique products, we ask that you contact us with details and a reference picture for a quote.

2) Yes! As above. $185 for an A-line, $210 for a circle skirt.

Anonymous asked: is it possible to get a back zipper on a binding dress? Like, finishing at the waist or something?

Sure! Here’s that add-on link – that will be $35 extra.

Anonymous asked: Will the pencil binder dress compress the hips too? I got major hip dysphoria and I think that if so it would help. If not do you make anything for hip dysphoria?

Not as-is, it won’t. However, we could potentially put together something like a mermaid-cut dress: an extra-long binder with a very dropped-waist skirt. If that sounds interesting, contact us for a quote!

We don’t currently make compression shorts, though we may someday.

Anonymous asked: Is it possible to get the binder dress with the top and bottom as different fabrics?

Yes it is! If they’re both store fabrics, we can make this happen by request at no extra charge.

(Image: A drop-waist two-tone binder dress with Retro Galaxy on top and Smol Hero for a long circle skirt.)

Anonymous asked: Omg a binder with a hood would be amazing! Have you ever done a pocket on a binder/think its possible?

I dunno, anon! Where would you put it? The tricky thing with pockets on skintight garments is that they will always make a lump.

That’s why we like to put them in skirts.

(Image: That same two-tone binder dress, it turns out, has pockets. Big pockets. Because everyone needs pockets.)

Addendum! An example of a binding dress with a lace overlay:

the fact that community colleges are seen as less valid and for “stupid” people is a result of classism and in this essay I will-

ppl in the tags saying that it’s “genuinely a lesser tier of education because people go there for trades and nursing and thats about it” are just proving that its classism. bc a) no thats absolutely not correct. a good chunk of people that go to community colleges do so to knock out their gen eds at a lower price than they’d be if they went to a four year, then transfer to a four year. and more importantly b) trade professions are not lesser than other professions that take higher degrees. people who go into things that take associates degrees are not “stupid”.

if you think ppl who are too poor to attend a four year university for all four years, or that ppl who are too poor to/don’t want to get their bachelor’s/master’s/doctorate are “stupid” then i have news for you:

thats classism, babe

My parents were both college professors, and they’ve said precisely this for years.
